Washington, Nov 4 - GOP Doctors Caucus Co-Chair Congressman Phil Gingrey (R-GA) joined with his Republican colleagues on the Capitol steps this afternoon to greet the thousands of Americans from across the country who came to Washington to have their voices heard on the health care debate.  In addition to participating in the press event on the Capitol steps, Congressman Gingrey spoke individuals to constituents from Georgia who traveled to Washington for the House Call.

Congressman Gingrey released the following statement about the House Call:

“Today was a powerful example of how strongly the American public feels about the Democratic Majority’s attempt to force a government takeover of health care.  Just like the town halls in August, Americans came before their Members of Congress to demand that Congress does not vote to put government bureaucrats between them and their doctor.  This House Call on Washington makes it impossible for Speaker Pelosi and her allies in Congress to not understand what the American public wants - if they continue to push ahead with bringing their health care legislation to the floor, then it is clear they just don’t care.”
