Interesting that you chose Dalton and Gainesville, two illegal immigrant hotbeds in Georgia, for the hearings. You should take a van full of ICE agents with you. They can do a roundup while you have the hearings. You can be rest assured that plenty of illegal aliens will be out to DEMAND THEIR RIGHTS from our government. I hear that Dalton is majority Hispanic (and almost certainly majority illegal) now.

Or you can pull a Saxby and ignore (i.e., abet) them as they blatantly flout our laws and shout down taxpaying US citizens.

  2. David Anderson Says:

you know hamilton Montana is a small town it’s to bad they ain’t holding this in a city in Montana. I guess it’s just to much to allow a large number of people to comment on this matter. I’d even go so far as to say, they really don’t want to know what folks really think. So lets just make this look good.

  3. PLTES Says:

Hope US will give less rules for immigrants.

In my opinion, that will decrease the illegal immigrants and help people around the world. I myself would like to move to US, but the rules quite hard to follow for me.

  4. Stephanie Says:

Americans are really pissed off with this issue. 21 more hearings!! This is ridiculous. Our government knows what the “legal” American citizens want. They want the existing laws enforced and no guest worker or amnesty program. Period! Anything otherwise will fuel a backlash never seen before in the history of this country.

  5. Stephanie Says:

AND it is not the Reid-Kennedy bill. It is the McCain-Kennedy bill.
McCain decided to put all his eggs into one basket and sell all of us Republicans out. The Republican Party is too ashamed of their own Senator.

  6. Instigator Says:

It’s inevitable that every undocumented person (barring the criminals) here will get into legal status eventually. We are wasting time on this far too much. Get “Smart Borders” and worry about alternative fuel. Iraq, Economy, Education, Medical Insurance yada yada….

We are worried about people losing their jobs to the undocumented. Wait another 4 years we wont have a single job in this country. We will be illegals in China, Brazil, India and other Asian countries.

    Think about it….

    cheers

Lets move on and make USA a more diverse and competitive

  7. Laurie Says:

This is good news. We need no amnesty. The Senate’s bill would make illegals eligible for Social Security benefits. Illegals are being supported by our taxes as indigents in hospitals. That is our tax dollars at work….. working against us.

  8. Frank Says:

Clearly the Congress is making every effort to stack the deck in favor of amnesty. These hearings are a mute point in my opinion, notwithstanding clever efforts to locate them for the most favorable disposition towards amnesty.

The US Constitution clearly tasks the Federal Government to protect the States from Invasion. Every Federal Officer, every Elected Official, every member of the military takes an oath to “preserve, protect, and defend” the US Constitution. Each has clearly failed to do so as we are clearly being invaded! These efforts appear to be the attempt by Congress to mitigate their failure to meet their Constitutional duties.

Illegal immigrants were law breakers when they came, when they got fake documentation to stay, when they failed to pay taxes; and when they stay.

If Congress opts to give amnesty to these perpetual and habitual law breakers, what happens to all other law breakers in this land of “equal protection under law”? Are we to give amnesty to child abusers, wife beaters, and other professional criminals simply because they have been “doing it a long time”?

There also appears to be a misunderstanding regarding children born in this country. Children born to legal immigrants, in process of naturalization, have always been extended Citizenship by birth. There is absolutely no reason that such benefits should be extended to illegals, whom by their every action are outside the laws and protection of the US Constitution.

Unbelievably, there appears to be an Illegal Alien Tax ID number, indicating that the IRS can identify the home address and employer for 8.7 Million illegals who got tax refunds last year. That would be a convenient place to start the deportation process.

This is not an issue about bus-boys, yard-boys, and hotel maids. It is an issue regarding the Constitutional requirement for the Federal Government to protect legal citizens from invasion by any one. It is an issue of National Sovereignty.

How ironic that we send our military to fight and die all over the world in defense of other people’s rights to determine their own destiny, while our Country is stolen from us from right under our noses because our Federal Officers choose to do nothing. Our Forefathers gave everything that we might live free, and now our birthright is being sold-out by Congress, to the lowest bidder. Disgusting!

If Congress continues in their efforts to downplay this issue, they do so at their own peril.
