Washington, D.C. - I voted today in support of H. J. Res. 118, which preserves the 1996 welfare work requirements that the Obama administration has attempted to roll back. Despite the President’s effort to weaken welfare reform, this bipartisan legislation maintains the requirements that have helped many Americans escape from the cycle of poverty while reducing their dependence on the government.
