Rep. Phil Gingrey, M.D., today honored those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, at the Congressional  Remembrance Ceremony.

“We remember today those who lost their lives in New York City, Washington, D.C., and on Flight 93,” Gingrey said. “We mourn these losses, honor their memories, and pray for the families and loved ones they left behind. Americans are resilient, generous, and courageous. One need look no farther than at the firefighters, police officers, and ordinary Americans who rushed towards danger, comforted mourners, or offered prayers and support to see this. ‘United we stand’ is far more than just a saying – it’s woven into the fabric of our nation and into the hearts of all Americans.”

Gingrey also paid tribute to the four Americans who were killed in the Benghazi terrorist attack a year ago today.
