Rep. Phil Gingrey (R-GA), a member of the Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health and Oversight and Investigations, released the following statement calling on the President to support a one-year Obamacare mandate delay:

“The public policy debacle that has been the so-called “Affordable Care Act” has compromised the health care plans of millions of Americans and the more we learn about this bill Washington passed without reading it, the worse it gets.  The bottom line is the President made a gamble that Washington could effectively administer health care in America and he lost.  Unfortunately, working Americans are paying the price.

“The least he could do is acknowledge these very real hardships and support a one-year delay in Obamacare mandates for all Americans. Delaying this disastrous law for one year for all patients, taxpayers, and job creators is the first step towards ensuring it’s permanently delayed.”
